'You must be the change you wish to see in the world'
With Gandhi's famous quote in mind and inspired by many of the other spiritual quotes that you will find on this site I have decided to relate my personal view of reality to anyone who cares to read the following pages.
Everyone's truth is different and today we are faced with an enormous amount of information, disinformation, misinformation through the internet which can easily distort or even indoctrinate opinion on many areas of our lives. Only through the practice of discernment and learning to trust one's heart can you then seriously begin to realise your own truth. Some messages will simply resonate with you whilst others won't. It's really quite simple - be discerning about all information and trust your intuition, the messages from your soul wherein all universal knowledge and truth abide as the following quote testifies:
We stress most strongly discernment, but we see that you need to understand more comprehensively what discernment means. Humanity has been in what might be called a "herd" state for thousands of years and so it is a conditioning that is hard to break. It is easier to follow the crowd and the popular beliefs or trends. It is more difficult to make your own decisions, and through trial and error, begin to trust your intuition even if it means taking radical measures that do not fit within the norm. It is easier to look outside yourself for a quick fix, whereby you do not have to participate or take responsibility for your actions. It is easier and more comfortable to blame someone else. Mastery is just that, becoming the master of your destiny, a master of your body/mind/soul. How quick you are to jump on the bandwagon of a new concept that promises miracles. Unfortunately, there are many within the spiritual community that are more than willing to profit from your gullibility/vulnerability. "By their works you shall know them," but sometimes this realization comes after the fact--too late. You must validate from within before you make your decisions.
We are nearing the end of the 'dark ages' and there is light at the end of the proverbial tunnel so fittingly this page is entitled 'the light' because we are about to discover just how powerful this energy is. We are light beings and being light has many different meanings. For instance, whilst I am attempting to shed light on many different matters I am not afraid of adding light by way of humour.
I have always felt that I would write a book one day but rather than reward publishers and punish our planet's environment I've decided against joining the 450+ author's whose new works appear in print each and every day (this statistic, like all statistics, is debatable - I guess it refers to solely the USA and in which case the global figure will be many times this amount). My words will be available for all to view via this website and for those who feel my 'labour of love' is worthy of reward a small donation would be appreciated to help feed my family.
I am writing to relay knowledge which I have acquired over my 51 years on this planet and to present to my readers some profound questions about the world as they perceive it and I hope to receive your feedback, encouragement and even any constructive criticism via email.
When people talk about 'seeing the light' it is often taken as meaning that they have found God so I need to establish from the outset that I am not a religious person and to me 'God' is an invisible energy that is in every part of our Universe. Therefore I am not going to preach to you, nor recommend the path that you or your soul should take to attain enlightment or ascension as I believe that these are things that no other human being can teach you - you are your own teacher. What works for one person does not necessarily work for another and I find it most irksome that 'spiritual' people who want to share their knowledge or talent with others usually do so purely for personal profit by way of membership subscriptions, books, DVD's, CD's and personal appearances.
Let me begin by posing two simple questions:
Is it right that 20% of the world's population consumes 80% of its resources?
Is it right that 70% of the world's population do not have water on tap?
As I believe that both of these statistics can be considered relatively accurate I hope you will agree with me that it is both absurd and morally reprehensible that our planet is so out of balance for we are all one and should not be discriminated against because of our birth place.
Whilst my 'book' will go into much further detail I have provided a 'news page' (the switch) which will contain links to sites that have inspired and 'enlightertained' me in the earnest hope that your 'awakening' and spiritual journey will be as thoroughly enjoyable as my own continues to be.
