Although much of the emphasis in this article is on the Mayan calendar the significance of 2012 as a turning point for humanity is supported also by the Indo-Tibetan belief that the current 'Kali Yuga' (the Age of Iron), the final and most negative of four evolutionary Yugic cycles, will come to an end. The Hopi Indian tribe of north America also subscribe to the theory of 2012 being a turning point for the planet and of course prophets such as Nostrodamus and Edgar Cayce have made predictions about this date. The alchemists of Europe built the Cross of Hendaye to describe it. The Qero Indians of Peru call it the Pacha Kuti and the ancient Egyptians referred to it as the Zep Tepi or The First Time. Each of these traditions tells us that a great transformative moment is at hand, a moment in which we have the opportunity to release old patterns and re-link ourselves with the essential rhythms and harmonies of the universe.

We particularly like this interpretation from Sharron Rose, writer & director of the American documentary, 2012 The Odyssey: "As we can see from these prophecies, this shift is not just limited to historical tangibles like globalisation, the internet, global warming and the destruction of the environment but is deeply embedded in almost all of the great spiritual traditions of humanity. This approaching singularity is truly the most profound event in history. Everything that we know, everything that we are, is about to undergo a substantial and radical alternation."
 
The Mayan civilisation in common with several other ancient civilisations forecast that this date will mark the end of the world that we know and the dawn of a new 'Golden Age' (the age of Aquarius) bringing the return of universal telepathy, heightened sense capacity, and self-reflective consciousness as we enter the 4th dimension of existence -this is a return to the sacred domain of our 'inner technology' (since we currently only use around 10% of our brainpower this is not as daft nor impossible as you may think!). Already it has been recognised that many people born during the past few decades are remarkably different and these include a group of 'super psychic children' and also Indigo/Crystal children from the colour of their aura.
 

 

The page title, represented by the image of Mayan numeric symbols above, relates to the last day of the 13th 'baktun' - a period of 144000 days in the Mayan calendar - and through exhaustive research has been identified by Swedish scientist, Dr Carl Johan Calleman, as October 28, 2011 despite the fact that is has been commonly accepted as December 21, 2012 - the winter solstice in our gregorian calendar. On this latter date there is believed to be an extremely close conjunction of the winter solstice sun with the crossing point of the galactic equator but even this has now been repudiated by certain astronomers who say the exact conjunction occurred in 1998. Nonetheless, the sun's position is still significant and this excellent article 'Why Shift Happens' is certainly worth reading.
 
We believe the conclusion of Calleman that October 28, 2011 marks the end of the evolution of our consciousness and this will prepare us for the events of 2012 & beyond.
 
Nowadays, we live in a material age. Modern people care about money, beautiful people, desires, pleasure, achievement, power and social status more than anything else. Those people who are not interested in these things have to struggle in the dirty undercurrent of life. Mental collapse due to these modern values is common. People become more and more indifferent to evil, violence, war, diseases, plague, hunger, terrorism, and the craziness of society. Few people realize that the human society is heading towards self-destruction and it would seem that a return to morality must come from people waking up and learning to reflect on their lives. Many of us are morally and financially bankrupt but we are being given a remarkable opportunity to experience 'riches' beyond compare by moving into a new spiritual dimension of being.
 
Our aim in including this page on our site is to alert people to the forecast as obviously over the next few years it is going to become very mainstream and if you search Google today you will find many many articles ranging from extremely negative to extremely positive - we feel that the latter approach is the best one to adopt for if this date does mark a significant milestone in the development of our species then we are all truly living in a remarkable time. All the more reason to learn as much as possible about yourself and to develop your spirituality beforehand because it will undoubtedly have significant benefits from the research that we have undertaken.
 
Astrologically speaking, the run up to 2011 promises to bring remarkable change for us all with significant developments in 2010 when there is a T-Square alignment involving Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto - a rare alignment and a profound symbol connoting societal and socio-economic transformation! The Venus transit of the sun on June 5-6, 2012 is the second of a pair (the first was in June 2004) that occur every 120 years and is extremely rare as it will pass directly in the front of the sun for a period of around 8 hours. There are two solar eclipes in 2012 (May 20 & November 13), the first will see the sun and moon conjuncting the Pleiades and in the second the sun and moon will conjunct the constellation Serpens, or serpent - these two eclipses physically reflect the cosmic orobouros, which is the primordial serpent of eternity represented as a snake swallowing it’s own tail - the alpha & omega (2012 is also the Chinese year of the Dragon)! Beyond 2012 the astrology suggests that the world will be affected by large scale flooding in 2016.
 
The sun is in the constellation of Ophuichus (the serpent bearer) from November 30 to December 17 each year yet this sign is conveniently omitted from conventional zodiac wheels!! Coincidence or not that the serpent bearer appears immediately before the prophesised end date?

If in spite of all that you have read so far you think that 2012 will just be another year I would ask you now to consider the conclusion of ethnobotanists and fractal experts, the brothers Dennis and Terrence McKenna, who in the early 70's, long before there was awareness of the Maya calendar, applied their knowledge of fractals to the 64 hexagrams of the I-ching (the classic Chinese 'Book of Changes') to arrive at the very same end date:

Money is not an object for the commercially produced movies which are about to be unleashed with Hollywood casts and plots that are wafer thin and presumably designed to either make fun or instil fear of the prophecies by being so far-fetched!!
 
  If you believe the evidence that you have seen presented then you may wish to better acquaint yourself with the Mayan civilisation and in particular their calendar which is calibrated to the universal energy rather than the controlling nature of the Gregorian calendar which was introduced to the world by the Vatican in 1582.
 However please be aware that there are many interpretations out there. One is called 'Dreamspell' and is based on a 13 moon cycle which does not correalate to the original Tzolkin or 'count of days' being maintained my modern day Mayans.

The crop circle 'imitating' the hunab ku is one of dozens appearing each year which are being interpreted by many as signals from other worlds that the various prophecies regarding 2012 are indeed not without foundation.
Fittingly on my return from holiday I was able to visit a circle that had been created a few days earlier, on July 15, 2008, at Avebury Manor in Wiltshire which depicted the exact planetary positions at December 23, 2012 (click on photos for more info):

Remember that fear is a product of the mind and an open mind can be just as dangerous as a closed mind. A still mind sees what is. A busy mind sees what is not.
When the mind stops, time stops too & you make the leap to inner peace and greater consciousness - unity with the universe and all that is, or all that is not according to Lao-Tzu's Tao Te Ching!
 
Follow your senses rather than your thoughts seems to be the only advice I can offer which roughly translates as be different/be yourself & don't simply follow convention - advice which I have recently discovered is given by Richard Rudd in his series of articles on The Venus Sequence - The Great New Age shake up!

All of Consciousness has had one goal in its evolution, to discover what it is NOT.

Consciousness experiences the universe by comparison. The basic comparison is that the conscious is NOT whatever was experienced. For at least 100,000 years mankind has been pursuing the question, "Who am I?" Or, "Why am I here?" and "What am I doing?" That question has been used by the Church and State to bind people to some standard or another, to some identity or another, to one belief system or another. Consciousness is none of these things. There are only the considerations of Consciousness.

We are not our bodies, our minds, our jobs, cars, relationships, nor our reputations or even our aspirations. As the Mayan calendar clearly shows, Creation is speeding up and presenting more and more of itself in each moment. This means that more and more is possible to be experienced and compared by Consciousness.

The Mayan calendar ends on October 28, 2011, by which time Creation's exposure rate will have accelerated such that it presents itself in total, all in one moment thus ending any and all considerations of time and space as any barrier to Consciousness.

The path to this moment leads us through the Galactic consciousness cycle that we are currently in to the Universal consciousness cycle that begins on February 10, 2011. In this 260 day period, Consciousness will be experiencing more and more of what it is NOT until the certainty sets in that we are indeed - NO THING!

Start answering the new question, "What am I not?" today and watch your existence change forever.
